1300 new jobs and a massive drop in unemployment are the result of common sense conservative policies. https://www.bls.gov/eag/eag.de_dover_msa.htm While Delaware’s economy is stagnant, Dover’s is growing. In July, we had 6% unemployment which was higher than the state or nation. Now we are at 4.3% which is at the national average and lower than the state unemployment. In fact, one could argue the small dip in state unemployment is from Dover.
I am pleased to report that the Making Dover Prosper Initiative that I authored with the collaboration of Director Hugg and the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce is paying dividends along with other pro-growth polices like cutting commercial, industrial and residential electric rates. Among other ideas we implemented most of the Chamber’s Vision 2020. We modernized government operations, cut regulations and cut electric rates for businesses as well as residents. Unsurprisingly, when you unshackle job creators, they create jobs.
Please read more on the initiative in the Delaware State News.
P. S. It is time to make Delaware Prosper. I would be honored to have your help.
